What we collect
Server logs record the requests our web hosting infrastructure receives, including IP address, request path, timestamp, and user agent, and are retained for the period required to operate the site and investigate abuse.
When you click an affiliate link on ToolCurrent, we record the link identifier, product identifier, the article you clicked from, the placement of the link on the page (for example, comparison table vs. article body), and the referring page's origin. We do not record raw IP addresses, cookies, email addresses, user agents, browser fingerprints, or session identifiers for affiliate clicks — the goal is to know which recommendations are useful, not who the individual clicker is.
When newsletter signups open, your email address and consent will be transmitted to the selected newsletter provider. ToolCurrent does not store subscriber emails in its own database. Subscriber management, confirmation, and unsubscribe workflows will depend on the provider selected before signups open.
What we do not collect
ToolCurrent does not run advertising trackers, cross-site tracking pixels, or behavioral advertising SDKs. We do not sell any data about our readers to any third party.
Third parties
Analytics: when analytics is enabled and the applicable consent has been given, ToolCurrent may send page views and site interactions to the configured analytics provider. Analytics is currently disabled. The provider and relevant data collection will be described here before activation.
Newsletter: signups are currently closed. When they open, subscriber email addresses and consent will be sent to the selected newsletter provider, whose name and privacy policy link will be listed here.
Hosting: the site runs on a commercial web-hosting provider that handles the underlying HTTP request logging described above.
Your rights
If you are a resident of the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you have rights over personal data we process about you, including the right to access, correct, and delete it. To exercise any of those rights, email admin@toolcurrent.tech from the address you want us to act on and we will verify and respond within the timelines your jurisdiction requires.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the information it describes changes. Material changes may be noted on this page. The `lastReviewed` date at the bottom of the page reflects the most recent review of the policy for accuracy.
