What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a link to a product's website that includes a tracking parameter identifying ToolCurrent as the referring publisher. If a reader clicks an affiliate link and then makes a qualifying purchase, the vendor pays ToolCurrent a commission. The commission comes out of the vendor's marketing budget — it does not add anything to the price the reader pays.
Where affiliate links appear
Affiliate links can appear in reviews, comparisons, alternatives articles, roundups, and guides — anywhere we recommend or reference a product with a public affiliate program. Every article that contains affiliate links carries an above-the-fold disclosure banner that identifies the article as containing affiliate links and links back to this page.
All affiliate anchors on ToolCurrent use the HTML relationship attribute `rel="sponsored noopener"`, which is the search-engine-standard way to identify a paid or affiliate link.
How commissions are handled
Commissions never influence our reviews, scores, or comparison winners. The editorial policy describes the structural separation between commercial and editorial decisions in more detail.
We do not disclose specific commission rates per vendor because those rates are commercial terms between ToolCurrent and each vendor. We do disclose which vendors we have affiliate relationships with in the vendor list below, which is updated when we add or drop a program.

Articles with affiliate links include a reader-facing disclosure and a link to this page. Affiliate CTAs use `rel="sponsored"` to identify paid links to search engines; that markup does not replace the visible disclosure. Commissions do not determine editorial scores.
